GREENSBORO, N.C.—University of Virginia guard Monica Wright, a senior from Woodbridge, yesterday was named the Atlantic Coast Conference player of the year. Wright became the fifth Virginia player to win the award and the first since Cavaliers assistant coach Wendy Palmer in 1996.
